World Youth champion Ankushita Boro (Assam), former Youth World Champion Arundhati Choudhary (Services), U-22 silver medallist Priya (Haryana), and World Championships bronze medallist Parveen Hooda (SAI) also advanced with impressive wins, establishing a formidable lineup for the semifinal round.
The BFI aims to provide a platform for emerging talents to display their abilities and for established athletes to fine-tune their skills during the inaugural BFI Cup 2025, taking place in Chennai from October 1 to 7. The event features competitions for both elite men and women across 10 weight categories, in accordance with World Boxing standards. Gold and silver medalists will secure a pathway into the Elite National Camp.
In the men’s category, World Cup Brazil bronze medallist Manish Rathore (AIP), U-22 Asian bronze medallist Rocky (AIP), and Asian Games gold medallist Amit Panghal (Services) maintained their impressive momentum, contributing to Services' strong performance in the tournament.
Participants include boxers from State units and boards that ranked in the Top 8 at the Elite Nationals, along with entries from SAI NCOE and the host state Tamil Nadu.
