Imphal, Oct 4 (NationPress) In a bid to promote secure employment opportunities, the Assam Rifles has successfully conducted skill development training for 56 youths hailing from the Imphal Valley region of Manipur, as part of its civic action initiatives, officials reported on Saturday.
Among the 56 participants, 48 individuals, which include 30 women, have secured employment in private hotels and various organizations across Mumbai, Jaipur, and Delhi.
A Defence spokesperson shared that on Saturday, the Assam Rifles honored the successful participants of its Skill Development Programme 4.0 at Kaisampat in Imphal.
These young individuals have received empowerment through the Assam Rifles, aligning with their civic action goals in the Imphal Valley.
The Skill Development Program was a collaborative effort between the Assam Rifles and We Care Skill Solutions, a local organization specializing in skill training.
During this program, participants underwent training in Hospitality and Retail, enabling them to secure positions in esteemed hotels nationwide.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by the DIG of Assam Rifles and the director of an NGO that provided financial support for the initiative.
Successful participants, comprising 18 boys and 30 girls, were awarded certificates from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) along with their offer letters.
These youths are set to embark on their new careers in various locations, including Mumbai, Jaipur, and Delhi, in the near future.
As part of the Skill Development Program, the participants underwent a rigorous twelve-week vocational training, enhancing their employability and paving the way for a brighter future.
In addressing the attendees, the DIG of Assam Rifles praised their commitment and diligence, emphasizing the transformative impact of skill development in shaping their futures.
He encouraged participants to act as 'Brand Ambassadors' for the rich culture and heritage of Manipur.
