Anshula Kapoor, social media influencer and sister of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, has shared an intimate look at the nostalgic theme that defined her wedding reception in Mumbai, revealing how Hrithik Roshan's iconic debut film 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' found a special place in the celebrations. The reception, held following her 6 July wedding to Rohan Thakkar, was styled as a love letter to the 1990s — the decade that shaped her childhood and that of her guests.

Sharing a video from the reception on Instagram, Anshula wrote, 'The wedding was about where we come from. The party was about who we are.' She added, 'If you grew up in the '90s, there was probably something in this room that belonged to your childhood too!'

The venue was filled with thoughtful period details — vintage cameras, old-fashioned telephones, neon signs, a photobooth, and framed imagery inspired by the films that defined Bollywood's golden era. A candy cart and a popcorn station were set up to recreate the charm of old-school fairs and movie nights.

Hrithik Roshan's Debut Gets a Tribute

Among the standout elements was a dedicated display for Hrithik Roshan's blockbuster debut, 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' (2000). A cassette of the film was placed alongside the retro decor, serving as a centrepiece of the Bollywood nostalgia corner. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film launched Hrithik opposite debutant Ameesha Patel and became one of the biggest box-office successes of that year, turning both leads into overnight sensations.

Anshula called the venue 'the happiest room we walked into' and thanked the decor team for bringing the vision to life.
