Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) As Hrithik Roshan celebrated his 52nd birthday on Saturday, television actor Vivek Dahiya paid homage to his beloved star by reminiscing about the enchanting experience of his debut film, “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai”.
Reflecting on the past 26 years, Vivek admitted he still finds it challenging to pick between the film's two memorable characters, Rohit and Raj, highlighting the enduring appeal of Hrithik's acting.
Vivek took to Instagram to share a nostalgic clip from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, where he was seen rehearsing the title song.
In his post, he expressed: “It’s been 26 years, and I still can’t decide who I adored more, Rohit or Raj? The impact created as a newcomer was truly remarkable.”
The television star revealed that he too adopted the trend of rimless glasses after being influenced by Hrithik's style in the film.
“No debut has ever matched the grandeur of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’. Back in class eight when the movie released, I also embraced the rimless glasses trend and even sported those iconic side-locks! You have continued to inspire us with your legendary performances,” Vivek added.
He concluded with a special mention of his choreographer, @lipsa893, whose birthday coincided with Hrithik's celebration. “Here’s to celebrating Hrithik’s legacy and the wonderful memories we’ve shared. Happy birthday to both, and may there be many more magical moments ahead!”
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, marked the debut of both Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel.
The film includes a stellar supporting cast featuring Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Mohnish Bahl, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Shah, Farida Jalal, Asha Patel, Rajesh Tandon, and Tannaz Irani.
The plot twist and the latter part of the movie draw thematic inspiration from the 1986 Kannada film Ratha Sapthami.
The story revolves around Sonia and Rohit, whose burgeoning romance is tragically interrupted. Later, Sonia meets Raj, Rohit's doppelgänger, in New Zealand, and together they strive to uncover the truth behind Rohit’s demise.
