New Delhi, July 11 (NationPress) Esteemed actor and director Anupam Kher is thrilled to present his forthcoming film “Tanvi The Great” to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on Friday. He expressed that she represents the essence of uniqueness yet is no less in stature.
In a conversation with IANS regarding the exclusive screening for the President, Anupam stated: “We are filled with excitement because I believe the President is a true symbol of being different yet no less. Just look at her journey! From humble beginnings to attaining the highest position in our nation—it's truly remarkable.”
The President will view the film at a special screening at the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre (RBCC). Attendees include debutant Shubhangi in the role of Tanvi, along with Karan Tacker, Boman Irani, co-writers Ankur and Abhishek, and key members of the film’s crew.
This cinematic piece features a stellar cast from both Indian and international cinema, including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, and Nasser, alongside Anupam Kher and Iain Glen.
The film also highlights the talents of two Oscar-winning artists: music composer M.M. Keeravani and sound designer Resul Pookutty. The cinematography is led by Japanese artist Keiko Nakahara.
Tanvi The Great is a production of Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC. Global distribution is managed by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, as well as AA Films, led by Anil Thadani. The film is set to release in cinemas worldwide on July 18.
The narrative centers around Tanvi Raina, a 21-year-old woman on the autism spectrum, who lives with her mother Vidya and grandfather Colonel Pratap Raina.
Motivated by her late father, Captain Samar Raina, an Indian Army officer who aspired to salute the flag at Siachen Glacier, Tanvi is determined to carry on his legacy by pursuing a career in the army to fulfill his father’s dream.
