Chennai, Dec 12 (NationPress) The team behind director Sooriyaprathap S’s sci-fi thriller 'ROOT' – Running Out Of Time, which stars Gautham Ram Karthik in the lead role, has officially revealed that Aparshakti Khurana, the Bollywood actor making his Tamil cinema debut with this project, has successfully finished dubbing for his part.

Verus Productions, the film's production company, shared the exciting update on their social media channels, stating, "@aparshakti_khurana has wrapped up his Tamil dubbing for #Root. First time in Tamil. First time for Tamil. @aparshakti_khurana lends his voice to ROOT. And ROOT responds back. He gave it his all — and boom, the dubbing is complete! Welcoming @aparshakti_khurana to Tamil cinema. And Tamil to @aparshakti_khurana!"

The lead actor, Gautham Karthik, had previously completed his dubbing on November 28 of this year.

"We are thrilled to announce that Hero Gautham Ram Karthik has successfully finalized his dubbing for his segments in the eagerly anticipated Sci-Fi Crime Thriller “ROOT – Running Out of Time.” This is a crucial step in the film’s post-production process," the filmmakers had mentioned earlier.

It's worth noting that the production team had declared on November 1 that they had concluded the filming of the movie.

Director Sooriyaprathap S expressed, "We’ve officially completed 'ROOT'! The journey of making this film has been unforgettable, and we've invested our hearts and hard work to create a memorable experience for viewers. We are eager to share it with you all soon!"

He added, “A heartfelt thank you to our hero Gautham Ram Karthik. His energy, dedication, and commitment made this journey exceptionally special. I’m deeply thankful to my producers, the amazing cast and crew for their tremendous support, and to Bollywood star Aparshakti Khurana, whose involvement has been a significant asset to the film. The film features Bhavya Trikha in the female lead role, alongside veteran actor Y Gee Mahendran in a significant part.

Produced by Dhanishtan Fernando, Rajarajan Gananasambandam, Sanjai Shankar, and Shaik Mujeeb under the Verus Productions banner, the film is said to be a thrilling ride.

For those unaware, director Sooriyaprathap S is renowned for his creative vision showcased in Naalaiya Iyakkunar – Season 1 and his role as an associate director in 'Kochadaiiyaan', which starred Superstar Rajinikanth.

Discussing the film earlier, Sooriyaprathap S stated, “This project has been a passion project since the scripting phase. The concept behind ROOT is to deliver a gripping crime thriller set against a sci-fi backdrop, while ensuring that characters remain grounded and emotionally relatable.”

The cinematography is handled by Arjun Raja, with music composed by Vithushanan, and action choreography by Miracle Michael.
