Is Ariana Grande Ready to Take a Break?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Jan 27 (NationPress) Singer and actress Ariana Grande, who has achieved remarkable success in both the music and film industries since her rise to fame, recognizes that it may be advantageous for her to slow down the pace a bit.
"I believe it would likely be beneficial. I’m not accustomed to taking breaks. However, I realize that I matured significantly during my time away from music while working on Wicked... But indeed, these last several years have been quite relentless. And by several, I mean 15," Grande shared.
The Wicked: For Good star expressed her desire for a more balanced life in the future, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
"Achieving balance is my aim for the next 15 years. I don't anticipate they will resemble the previous 15 years. I envision a life with more balance," she told Vogue Japan.
In the two Wicked films, Grande plays Glinda and mentioned that she delved deeply into her character.
Reflecting on her preparation, Grande recalled: "I dedicated much time to interpreting the nuances and jotting down ideas about the events that may have contributed to her feelings of insecurity.
"Whether it was her bond with Elphaba or her romance with Fiyero, the little things she overlooked that formed her into this exceptionally high-performing, theatrical individual."
Ariana continued: "At times, we are embodying a character, and at other times, we are unveiling our vulnerabilities.
"Sometimes we are crafting a persona or adopting a character scripted by someone else. And at times, it’s simply about expressing our genuine emotions and sharing our truths. It’s fascinating how the world often struggles to distinguish between the two."
During the filming of the movies, Grande developed a strong "sisterhood" with her co-star Cynthia Erivo, despite the fact that they had never auditioned together prior to their initial meeting.
She remarked: "This is what we committed to, and we understood its necessity. I believe we executed it beautifully.
"We possess very different creative processes, and we are distinct individuals. Yet, we took the time to understand and support each other throughout this journey... I believe it was truly meant to be."
She concluded: "We cared for each other sincerely and put in tremendous effort, making it the most fulfilling work of my life. I would gladly do it all again today."
