Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Actor Arjun Rampal discussed the hurdles he encountered while making the leap from modelling to acting.
In a candid interview with IANS, he revealed his personal struggles, the learning experiences, and the unwavering determination that characterized his transition from the runway to the big screen. Reflecting on his early experiences, Rampal noted, “The shift from modelling to acting was far from seamless. While modelling prepares you in a unique environment, where the camera feels familiar and commands remain consistent, it conditions you to respond in a specific manner.”
He recounted his initial impressions while reviewing his first rushes from Moksha, feeling completely rigid. “Acting requires the opposite; you must disregard the camera and fully embody the character. This transformation took time. I am thankful for those who placed their faith in me, providing opportunities that allowed me to evolve. Those repeated chances were crucial.”
Arjun Rampal made his acting debut in Rajiv Rai's romantic film Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat in 2001 and has since curated a career that boasts over 40 films. His recent performance as ISI Major Iqbal in Dhurandhar has received acclaim.
Released on December 5, Dhurandhar features a stellar cast, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
A few days prior, Rampal expressed his gratitude after receiving a wave of love and support for Dhurandhar. Alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the action film, he wrote, “Ladies & Gentlemen, we were not prepared for this. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your incredible love, support, and acceptance for #dhurandhar.”
“The moment you described the film to me, I understood its significance; it would unfold in a uniquely narrative style. The extensive research, the depth given to each character, from their appearance to their attitudes, amazed me. You constantly surprised me. Most importantly, you managed all filming pressures without a hitch. Thank you, Boiya. Much love,” Rampal concluded.
