Rudd shared, "Every so often, an opportunity arises where I can collaborate with a personal hero of mine," during a joint interview with people.com.
Looking at Black, he remarked: "It occurred in this instance through this old hunk of love."
Additionally, Rudd commended his co-stars Steve Zahn and Thandiwe Newton in the action-comedy film Anaconda, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
He noted: "It's truly about the people, isn't it?"
Black chimed in: "Absolutely, it's about the folks. It's amusing, because in this film we portray filmmakers, thus, in a sense, we are playing ourselves. It felt very personal.
"These buddies are pursuing their dreams. That's how it feels to me each time I set out to create a film.”
Anaconda follows best friends Ronald 'Griff' Griffen Jr. and Doug McCallister as they venture into the Amazon rainforest, aiming to reboot the 1997 film of the same name, featuring Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, and Jon Voight.
However, their endeavor faces peril when a massive, bloodthirsty anaconda begins to hunt them.
Previously, Paul and Jack briefly shared the screen in projects like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and portrayed the late Beatles legends John Lennon and Paul McCartney in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
This new Anaconda marks the first occasion the duo has taken on lead roles, with Rudd expressing his enjoyment in witnessing Jack's performance.
He stated: "This was genuinely the first moment I had to observe him in action ... People are justifiably in awe of him. What amazed me most was how, regardless of age—especially with children—Jack is such a wonderful person, and his interactions with everyone were incredible."
While conversing with Black, Rudd added: "You provided everyone with a little slice of the Jack Black experience. No matter the time or place, you are a genuinely good person. Honestly, it was inspiring to watch."
