Los Angeles, March 24 (NationPress) Hollywood star Paul Rudd disclosed that he experienced an awkward first encounter with actress Jenna Ortega in an airport lounge.

The two stars recently collaborated on the upcoming comedy-horror film 'Death of a Unicorn'. However, Ortega mentioned that their initial interaction was completely unplanned and surprising.

"I was writing in my journal and we were already aware of our collaboration on the movie, and I was involved with 'Beetlejuice' while you were working on 'Ghostbusters' in London," she shared with 'Extra'.

Rudd remarked: "I noticed you sitting there and thought, ‘Oh, my God, I think we’re going to be working together soon,’ so I approached you to say hello, but I wasn’t entirely sure it was you. I made my move like, ‘Is that...?’ and then I felt a bit stalkerish."

Ortega recalled feeling surprised by her co-star's approach.

She elaborated: "I felt like you were observing me for a while because when I’m writing and I hit a block, I sometimes jot down exactly what’s happening around me. I thought to myself, ‘Oh, this guy’s been staring at the departure board for an unusually long time,’ and then I looked up and realized it was Mr. Rudd."

Rudd continued: "There was a moment when I thought, ‘I think that’s Jenna.’ I hadn’t met her yet, and I was in that awkward space, thinking, ‘I guess I’ll just check the departure board to avoid any potential embarrassment.’ And then, finally, you looked up."

She admitted feeling a bit nervous at that time, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.

The 'Wednesday' star confessed: "I was somewhat anxious because it took me by surprise, and I was in a strange phase in my life, so it felt like a bit of a jump scare."
