Los Angeles, Aug 7 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Catherine Zeta-Jones has showered commendations on fellow actress Jenna Ortega, calling her co-star "incredible".
The 55-year-old actress, who stars alongside Jenna in the latest season of Wednesday, shared with People: "We practiced extensively. It's a blend of choreography and stunts. We have to exercise caution since we’re handling actual weapons."
Catherine noted that Ortega made an effort to adjust her hectic schedule to ensure they could prepare adequately for their scenes.
Playing Morticia Addams in the popular Netflix series, she remarked: "Jenna would carve out time from her much busier schedule than mine to rehearse with me, and then we collaborated with the stunt coordinator, resulting in a fabulous performance."
She also acknowledged Luis Guzman, who portrays Gomez Addams, for his diligent preparations before filming.
The two actors teamed up for a tango, and Catherine revealed that Luis "put in a tremendous amount of effort," as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
"We used to rehearse the four scenes outdoors, dodging rain, sometimes in Ireland, on gravel to keep it fresh. Since we learned it at the start of production but weren't filming for weeks—three months later—this was essential for maintaining our skills and memory. We would jump together and do it, sharing a laugh in the process," she explained.
Meanwhile, Jenna previously admitted to feeling like an "unhappy person" after the first season of Wednesday. She initially found it difficult to handle the fame and success.
She disclosed to Harper's Bazaar: "To be honest, after the show and while trying to navigate everything, I was quite unhappy. The pressure and attention were overwhelming for someone who’s quite introverted; it was intense and scary."
Currently, she is also serving as a producer on Wednesday, relishing the experience of being actively involved in the show's production.
"I participate in meetings to listen and learn. I’m still figuring out my footing in this area," the actress shared.
