Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) - Aryan Khan, stepping into the director's shoes for the first time with the upcoming streaming series ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’, had a lively interaction on stage and shared some light-hearted moments with the media during the unveiling of the show's first look.
The initial reveal took place at YRF studios located in the Andheri district of Mumbai on Wednesday. At the event, Aryan, the son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, faced the press present at the venue, expressing his nervousness and detailing the extensive preparations he made for his debut media appearance.
He remarked, “I have been practicing nonstop! In fact, I’m so anxious that the teleprompter includes my lines. If the power goes out unexpectedly, I have a paper ready, along with a torch. And still, if I slip up, my dad is here (Shah Rukh turned to reveal a printout of his speech taped to his back). After all this, if I falter, I hope you will forgive me; this is my first time.”
As he continued his speech, Aryan tripped over some lines and humorously attributed it to the teleprompter's failure. He then added a twist, stating, “Now, I won’t say anything further. I’ll allow my work to do the talking.”
Shah Rukh Khan flawlessly embraced his fatherly role by introducing the show’s cast with his signature style and playful humor, which includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli, along with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor.
Regarding his son's debut, SRK previously stated, “It’s a proud moment to witness Aryan articulate his vision with such clarity. This storytelling is sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold. I believe audiences on Netflix will connect with it deeply.”
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd, the series is created by Aryan Khan, with co-creators Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, all of whom contributed to the writing.
‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ is set to premiere on September 18 on Netflix.
