Mumbai, October 14 (NationPress) The talented actress Avika Gor, known for her role in Balika Vadhu, has recently embarked on a new chapter in her life by marrying her long-term partner Milind Chandwani during the couple's unique reality show, Pati Patni Aur Panga.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Avika discussed the decision to marry on national television.

When asked, "What inspired you to take such an unconventional step of marrying on a national platform?" Avika reflected, "We were fully aware that this would invite criticism, yet it didn’t catch us off guard. I have always embraced unconventional choices since my early career, including my marriage. There have always been dissenters, but I firmly believe in paving my own way."

On whether she views the wedding as just another milestone, the Sasural Simar Ka actress responded, "I anticipated that my wedding would be anything but conventional. I have often stated that my journey is something many would aspire to, and I am truly thankful for it. However, it does come with its challenges."

"Dealing with criticism while remaining steadfast in one’s beliefs is essential, and that’s what has brought me to this moment," she added.

Reflecting on the spotlight surrounding her wedding, Avika noted, "Everyone involved is under scrutiny, and whether the attention is positive or negative is subjective. Nonetheless, the mere fact of receiving attention speaks volumes—and sometimes that alone is sufficient."

Recalling the most memorable moment of her wedding, Avika shared, "During one of the pheras — possibly the first or second — a realization hit me, and I said 'Yes.' That was the moment it truly felt real. The comical yet beautiful realization marked the highlight of my day."
