Mumbai, Nov 21 (NationPress) The illustrious Bollywood star Helen celebrated her 87th birthday on November 21. To mark this special occasion, her dear friends and legendary Bollywood actresses Asha Parekh, Rekha, and Waheeda Rehman gathered for a delightful birthday lunch.

The stunning actresses, radiating elegance, were spotted arriving at a luxurious restaurant in Mumbai, where the celebration was hosted. Notably, Salim Khan’s first wife, Salman Khan, was also present at the lunch for her husband’s second wife, Helen. Asha Parekh dazzled in a beautiful pink saree, while Rekha showcased her chic fashion sense in a denim ensemble.

Birthday girl Helen, adorned in a striking purple salwar kameez, was seen greeting the paparazzi outside the venue. Earlier that day, renowned actor Jackie Shroff had shared heartfelt birthday wishes for the beloved “Golden Girl,” Helen.

Jackie posted a heartfelt video montage of Helen on his social media, featuring the classic song “O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan” from the 1966 film “Teesri Manzil” as the soundtrack. His caption read, “Warm wishes #happybirthday #Helenji.” Helen, known for her iconic status, has graced over 500 films throughout her remarkable career that spans seven decades.

Recognized as one of the foremost nautch and cabaret dancers of her era, Helen was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2009. Her illustrious filmography includes celebrated titles such as Howrah Bridge, Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai, Woh Kaun Thi?, Caravan, Upaasna, Ram Balram, and Sholay, among others.

She last appeared in the 2012 film “Heroine” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. Helen was first married in 1957 to film director Prem Narayan Arora, who was 27 years her senior. Following their divorce in 1974, Helen married Salim Khan in 1981, who was already wed to Sushila Charak (also known as Salma Khan) and had five children, including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
