Los Angeles, Jan 1 (NationPress) Actress Brooke Shields is highlighting her impressive fitness. The 59-year-old model-actress displayed her sculpted abs while enjoying a vacation in Nassau, Bahamas with her two daughters, Grier, 18, and Rowan, 21.
Grier sported a green bikini top paired with a floral wrap skirt, while Brooke opted for a stylish two-piece brown bikini and a straw hat to shield herself from the sun, as reported by People magazine.
Rowan donned a brown bikini that resembled her mother’s, and all three women adorned themselves with elegant gold necklaces.
Brooke shares her daughters with her husband Chris Henchy, whom she wed in 2001. Both daughters are currently enrolled at Wake Forest University, and Shields mentioned to People earlier this year that she feels like an empty nester.
“Suddenly, they are no longer yours,” she shared in August 2024. “When you realize they are their own individuals, you get to rediscover them. Seeing them reveal their true selves is a fresh kind of relationship. I didn’t shape them, but I ensured they had the space to grow into who they are, and I stepped aside.”
According to People, prior to their island retreat, the Henchy family celebrated a more traditional Christmas in New York City, dressing in their festive best for a holiday meal. The Blue Lagoon actress wore a stunning red leather strapless dress, complemented by a black choker and matching heels.
2025 will mark the 45th anniversary of the movie that propelled both her and co-star Christopher Atkins to fame. In the 1980 film, Shields (then 14) and Atkins (then 18) portrayed two stranded children who fall in love as they transition into adulthood.
Shields, who began her career at just 11 months old, gained significant recognition at age 12 for her lead role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued her modeling career into her late teens and starred in numerous dramas during the 1980s, including The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981).
In 1983, she paused her modeling career to pursue education at Princeton University.
