Los Angeles, March 14 (NationPress) The talented singer-songwriter Chappell Roan, who has been creating buzz around her latest track for several weeks, has officially launched her new country single ‘The Giver’, months after its initial live performance.

This empowering country anthem is filled with fiddles and an energetic vibe, emphasizing that it takes a true woman to satisfy another woman: “Ain’t no country boy quitter, I get the job done”, she passionately sings in the chorus, as noted by ‘Variety’.

Roan first revealed ‘The Giver’ during a captivating live performance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in November 2024. Although the song was showcased, she delayed its official release by nearly six months, using creative marketing strategies like placing billboards nationwide and establishing a hotline to give fans sneak peeks of the track.

Prior to the release, Roan shared with Amazon Music that her transition into the country genre stems from her admiration for its core values.

“I wrote a country song not to invade country music, but to really capture what I think, the essence of country music is, for me, which is nostalgia, and fun in the summertime and the fiddle and the banjo, feeling like country queen”, she explained. “It makes me feel a certain type of freedom that pop music doesn’t let me feel. I think it’s interesting and I had to do it. I had to do it for myself to know what is it actually like to write a country song and perform it next to ‘Casual’ or next to ‘My Kink is Karma’ or next to ‘Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl’ I just had to do myself justice”.

According to ‘Variety’, this is Roan’s first new single since ‘Good Luck, Babe’ which was released in April 2024.

This new release follows the success of her debut album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ from 2023, which produced several major hits throughout the year. ‘Good Luck, Babe’ garnered multiple Grammy nominations, and Roan was awarded the prestigious best new artist accolade.
