Chhattisgarh Resident Exploits Sunny Leone and Johnny Sins’ Names for State Welfare Benefits

Mumbai, Dec 23 (NationPress) A new case of fraud has emerged in Chhattisgarh involving actress Sunny Leone. An individual has been unlawfully benefiting from the state’s welfare program, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, by leveraging the actress's name to receive Rs 1000 monthly from the government.

According to media reports, this fraudulent activity was discovered in Talur village, situated in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. The man exploited Sunny’s name to collect the funds since the scheme is designed to transfer money only to married women.

A case has been initiated against the alleged fraudster, identified as Virendra Joshi. It has also been reported that he used the name of adult film star Johnny Sins.

The scheme was launched by the BJP government. The fraudulent nature of the claims came to light following an RTI inquiry, which led to a review of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana website, revealing a beneficiary registered under the name Sunny Leone with her spouse listed as Johnny Sins.

To qualify for the scheme, documents submitted by the alleged fraudster were processed at the Anganwadi level in Bastar district. The files were “verified” by Anganwadi personnel and another supervisor. It was noted that the individual had received the beneficiary payments for a total of ten months from March to December.

In a recent social media statement, state Congress president Deepak Baij accused the BJP of favoring their affiliates through this scheme. He expressed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “Mahtari Vandan money is going to BJP’s favourites in the name of Sunny Leone.”

Sunny Leone has yet to provide a comment regarding this incident.

In other news, Sunny, who recently hosted the dating reality show 'MTV Splitsvilla X5', celebrated her 13th wedding anniversary with her husband Daniel Weber by renewing their vows. The intimate ceremony took place in the Maldives on October 31, with their children Nisha, Noah, and Asher present.

A source close to the family revealed that the couple had long desired to renew their vows but waited until their children were old enough to appreciate the significance of the event.
