Mumbai, June 23 (NationPress) Actress Chitrangada Singh, recently featured in ‘Housefull 5’, described Honey Trehan as an exceptionally demanding director, noting that she had to perform 28 retakes for a particular shot in ‘Raat Akeli Hai 2’.
Despite the challenges, the actress expressed her gratitude, stating that it has significantly enhanced her skills as a performer. In a recent interview with IANS, she shared her experience.
“Typically, my second or third take is satisfactory. We might do additional takes, but those early ones are often the best. However, during the film ‘Raat Akeli Hai 2’ with Honey Trehan, I’ve never had to do so many takes before. It was a challenging role, and Honey is indeed a very demanding director,” she conveyed.
“I think I’ve done almost 28 takes for a single shot. Yes, it’s my first time experiencing this. But I’m so pleased because my performance has grown immensely,” she added.
Chitrangada also mentioned that she draws inspiration from stories rooted in reality. She believes these narratives are crucial as they unveil new perspectives for the audience.
“I find great inspiration in true stories and real incidents. They motivate me significantly. As filmmakers, it's vital to share these narratives, whether for entertainment or inspiration. That’s why I’m excited about biopics,” she shared.
Recently, a stir arose concerning rumors that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film due to an 8-hour shift.
When asked her thoughts on the 8-hour shifts, Chitrangada stated, “It depends on personal relationships. What is your agreement with the director? What are the director's and producer's needs? If they can coordinate effectively, it should work out. However, there are often constraints, including time, budget, and scheduling.”
“We must acknowledge these factors because, ultimately, time equates to money in this industry. Everyone is investing in a project. I prefer not to comment further. Everyone has their own preferences, and Deepika is a significant actress with the right to make her choices,” she concluded.
