Priyanka Chopra and Orlando Bloom are set to star in an upcoming survival thriller titled Reset, directed by Matt Smukler, known for his work on the coming-of-age drama Wildflower. The film will enter production in August, according to reports from deadline.com.

Plot and production details

Reset follows a woman who awakens in the wilderness, days away from civilization with no recollection of how she arrived there. Her only path to survival hinges on trusting a charismatic stranger whose true identity remains questionable. The screenplay, penned by Jordan Rawlins, will be produced by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber under their Fratricidal Films banner, alongside Michael Lazarovitch for Chemically Altered, and Matthew Rhodes of Rhodes Entertainment. Chopra Jonas' Purple Pebble Pictures and Bloom's Amazing Owl are also backing the project.

Director Smukler explained his approach to assembling the lead pair: "I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could effortlessly coexist." He lauded both actors for their "uncanny ability to make you believe both at once," describing their chemistry as "undeniable."

Fortitude International is handling financing and will launch international sales at the Marché du Film in Cannes.
