Los Angeles, July 15 (NationPress) The production of Christopher Nolan's ‘The Odyssey’ is currently in high gear. Recently, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Zendaya were spotted back on set in Scotland working on this much-anticipated film.
The trio was seen on location, with Damon, 54, donning the role of Odysseus, making a grand entrance in full costume, complete with dark boots, an ancient Greek-style tunic, and protective armor, complemented by a flowing dark green cape. In contrast, the engaged couple Holland, 29, and Zendaya, 28, arrived separately via a small boat, not in costume.
According to ‘People’, this marks the first sighting of the actors together filming on site in recent months. Earlier, the group had been photographed in Favignana, Italy, in March, where Damon showcased his impressive build for the role of the legendary hero.
An initial teaser for the film was unveiled exclusively in theaters ahead of Jurassic World Rebirth, featuring Holland's character Telemachus, Odysseus' son, in conversation with a character played by Jon Bernthal, along with the voice of John Leguizamo, who has a yet-to-be-revealed role in ‘The Odyssey’.
Leguizamo, 64, expressed to ‘People’ that collaborating with filmmaker Nolan felt like being part of a visionary project, akin to working with Stanley Kubrick. He mentioned, “We were in incredible locations across seven countries, including Morocco, Greece, and Sicily, with Nolan bringing the project back to L.A., which is remarkable.”
‘The Odyssey’ is slated for theatrical release on July 17, 2026.
