Mumbai, Dec 15 (NationPress) Actress Deepshikha Nagpal is set to share the screen with Bhumika Chawla and Arbaaz Khan in her upcoming film 'Kesar Singh'.
Reflecting on her experience on set, Deepshikha described Bhumika as an 'absolute sweetheart'.
“Working with both Bhumika and Arbaaz was a delightful experience. This was my first film alongside Bhumika, and she truly is an absolute sweetheart, exceptionally warm, grounded, and humble despite her impressive body of work,” she expressed.
Deepshikha continued, “We connected right away, and our off-screen relationship felt incredibly natural. Our families meshed well too—my daughter, her son, and all of us spent considerable time together, which made the atmosphere feel like one big family.”
On reuniting with Arbaaz Khan, she remarked, “I have previously worked with Arbaaz, although those films did not release. So, there was a pre-existing sense of comfort. He is very supportive, professional, and has no pretensions.”
Deepshikha recounted a memorable incident during the 'Kesar Singh' shoot that left a significant impact on her.
“One day, there was a scheduling mix-up, and Arbaaz was informed that I might arrive late. Without hesitation, he defended me, stating that I was always on time and that there had to be a valid reason. As it turned out, it was merely a misunderstanding; I was wrapping up another scene and arrived a bit later that evening.”
“It was past midnight when I had to shoot my introduction scene with some challenging lines. Everyone was exhausted and ready to call it a night, while I was under immense pressure—it was my introduction, and it needed to be perfect. Arbaaz noticed my stress and kept the atmosphere light, even joking that someone should just wake me up and tell me what expression to use because I would deliver it regardless. We managed to complete the scene in a single take. That kind of support and trust from a co-star is invaluable, and it’s something I will always treasure.”
