Mumbai, Dec 15 (NationPress) Playback artist Adnan Sami is grieving the tragic death of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner. The renowned director and his spouse, Michele Singer Reiner, were discovered deceased in their Los Angeles residence on December 14, 2025.

Expressing his sentiments, Adnan Sami took to his Instagram account on Monday, sharing a nostalgic photo of Reiner. He accompanied it with an emotional message, conveying his shock.

He stated, “I’m completely taken aback by the news of the legendary movie director ROB REINER’s untimely demise alongside his wife. He ranks among my favorite directors, having created numerous iconic films like ‘When Harry Met Sally’, ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, ‘LBJ’, ‘A Few Good Men’, ‘Misery’, ‘The Story Of Us’, ‘The Princess Bride’, ‘The American President’, and many others… Ultimately, we must all depart someday, but we pray to the Almighty for a peaceful and dignified farewell. May Rob Reiner and his wife Michele find eternal rest.”

The police are currently investigating a potential homicide. Initial reports indicate that both individuals suffered fatal stab wounds, with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division overseeing the inquiry.

At the age of 78, Rob Reiner was celebrated for his breakout role as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on ‘All in the Family’ and for directing cherished films such as ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, ‘The Princess Bride’, ‘Stand by Me’, ‘When Harry Met Sally’, and ‘A Few Good Men’.
