Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 21 (NationPress) Television star Devoleena Bhattacharjee expressed that this Ramadan is particularly significant, brimming with profound gratitude, love, and unity.
Devoleena shared two photos on Instagram featuring herself with her fitness coach, Shanwaz Shaikh, and their charming baby boy, Joy.
She captioned, “This Ramadan feels different…more gratitude, more love, more togetherness #Blessed #RamadanVibes #FamilyTime #devoleena.”
Devoleena tied the knot with Shanwaz in 2022, and the couple welcomed their first child, a son, in December 2024. They revealed their son’s name on Instagram in January 2025, describing him as their “bundle of happiness”.
Initially, Devoleena worked as a jewellery designer in Mumbai and gained recognition after auditioning for the dance reality show Dance India Dance 2. She made her acting debut in Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto in 2011.
She took over from Giaa Manek as the lead female character Gopi Ahem Modi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which became her breakout role. In 2014 and 2016, she considered leaving the show due to frequent time jumps but ultimately continued for five years, finishing her run in June 2017. She underwent spinal surgery for an injury sustained on set in 2013.
Later, she participated as a celebrity contestant in the 13th season of Bigg Boss. However, she left the show in November 2019 due to health concerns.
In August 2020, it was announced that she would reprise her role as Gopi Modi in the sequel Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.
In July 2024, she signed on to portray Goddess Chhathi Maiyya in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, but exited the show in October 2024 due to her pregnancy.
In December, Devoleena marked three years of marital happiness with her husband. She described their anniversary as a day to honor her loving, supportive partner.
“I didn’t get a moment to post today… and I think that’s exactly what familyhood, parenthood, and motherhood feel like. Life happens, love continues quietly in the background,” she shared.
“Today is our anniversary—a day dedicated to the most loving, caring, and endlessly supportive husband I could have wished for. I thank my stars and Mahadev every single day for Shan being in my life.”
“From my postpartum days to every phase that followed, he has stood by me with patience, strength, and unconditional support. Words will never be enough. But with him, living the life I once imagined— as a wife, a mother, and a woman—feels possible, real, and beautiful.”
“Three years and counting… and my heart is still full. I love you more than words can ever express. @shanwaz7636,” she concluded her heartfelt anniversary message.
