Chennai, April 3 (NationPress) The producers of the much-anticipated family comedy, directed by Harish Durairaj and starring Arjun Das alongside Anna Ben, have unveiled the character details of Dheepa Ramanujam.
The actress is set to portray a character named Sudha. It was previously revealed that actor Ramesh Thilak plays a doctor named Dr. Subramani, while National Award recipient Thambi Ramaiah will take on the role of a Minister named Varadharaj.
On Friday, Powerhouse Pictures, the film's production company, shared on Instagram, "Her arrival brings more joy! @dramanujam as Sudha in the universe of #ConCity. A film by @harish_durairaj, hitting theatres soon."
Additional character details have also been announced for actors Ponvannan, Sathanand, Rage Esakki, Madhan Dakshinamoorthy, Imman Annachi, and Bharadwaj Rangan.
Previously released teasers have generated significant excitement for the movie.
The teaser begins with Arjun Das receiving threats from a money lender, who confronts him about his lack of communication.
Through their phone exchange, it becomes clear that Arjun Das has fled with his family, locking up their home. The lender menaces, "Do you believe I can't trace you? If you think you can deceive me out of my money, I will find you, and your family will face the consequences." Arjun Das firmly responds that he won't pay and challenges the lender to act.
Following this heated conversation, Arjun Das, in a fit of rage, starts throwing nearby objects. When he picks up a small device resembling a receipt printer, lightning strikes, causing it to activate.
From that moment, each time he presses a button for a receipt, 500 Rupee notes begin pouring out. This discovery positions Arjun Das to settle his debts, but he soon realizes he isn’t the only one aware of this miraculous machine.
Written and directed by Harish Durairaj, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Imman Annachi, and Akhilan in key roles.
On the technical side, the film features music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan, editing by Arul Moses A, production design by Raj Kamal, and costumes designed by Navaa Rambo Rajkumar.
