Actor Dheeraj Dhoopar has publicly responded to Harshad Chopra's personal remarks and alleged gestures directed at him following Chopra's elimination from Lock Upp Season 2. Dhoopar, who remains in the competition, called the reaction immature and insisted the show is 'just a game' that every contestant enters to play on their own terms.

Dhoopar's Stand on Independent Gameplay

Dhoopar made clear that his in-game decisions were never guided by anyone else's agenda. He stated that from the very first day, he told Chopra directly that his choices — including his loyalty to fellow contestant Shivangi Joshi — were driven by personal friendship, not by Chopra's expectations or instructions.

'I always told Harshad from the very first day that we were not playing this game because of you. You can't tell me that Shivangi should be my priority. Shivangi is not my priority because of you. Shivangi was and is my priority because she's my friend too, but he always diluted it,' Dhoopar said.

The Eviction Vote and Chopra's Reaction

Dhoopar questioned why Chopra singled him out for blame when a total of eight contestants voted against him during the eviction. 'If I voted against Harshad, there were eight votes against him. Why didn't he have a problem with the rest of the people? Why did he have more of a problem with me?' he said.

Dhoopar acknowledged that Chopra likely felt betrayed by his vote specifically, given their prior association on the show, but maintained that the decision was purely strategic. He added that every contestant who enters a reality show must accept that others are playing their own game.

Personal Remarks and Gestures Draw Sharp Rebuke

Reacting to Chopra's alleged post-eviction gestures and comments, Dhoopar was direct: 'If he has to get so personal and make those gestures, I don't know the language he's speaking or the way he's speaking at such a personal level. It's just a game. Be a mature guy and take it nicely. If I took you out, I had my own reasons.'

He also alleged that Chopra contradicted himself after one of the tasks by making different statements on and off camera regarding Shivangi Joshi's performance — a charge that, if accurate, points to inconsistency in Chopra's conduct inside the house.

Fraternity and Expectations on Reality TV

Dhoopar took issue with Chopra invoking a sense of 'fraternity' among television actors as a reason to expect loyalty. 'Was my fraternity different from theirs? I don't know. I don't know what Harshad thought before going to the show. Why did he remember his fraternity there? It became so personal. Maybe they don't understand that this is just a game and everyone came to play their own game,' he said.
