Mumbai, Aug 30 (NationPress) Actress Diana Penty is ready to make her debut in the OTT series “Do You Wanna Partner”. She expressed that her character Anahita represents the most authentic role she has portrayed to date.
Reflecting on her journey, Diana remarked, “This is an experience unlike any other, especially since I have never worked in a long-format series before. Anahita is not the shy girl I have typically played, nor is she one of the louder characters from my past roles.”
“She’s the most real person I’ve played so far.”
One of her initial conversations with the creators centered on the importance of maintaining the show's authenticity.
Diana shared, “That’s what makes this project unique. Each role has been cast with precision. For my character, we drew heavily from my own life experiences—situations that many can relate to, making it feel incredibly genuine and believable.”
Discussing the challenges of embodying Anahita, Diana acknowledged that while it was indeed demanding, it proved to be artistically rewarding.
She noted, “You have the opportunity to delve deeper into a character's psyche, which is something that films rarely allow. Given that it’s a female-centric show, or rather an ensemble where women lead and manage a business, the experience was both challenging and gratifying.”
“We completed the shoot in just 50 days, which heightened the challenge, but ultimately, it made the entire experience remarkably rewarding.”
Directed by Collin D'Cunha and Kumar, the series features an impressive cast, including Diana Penty and Tamannah Bhatia in lead roles, along with Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, Sufi Motiwala, and Rannvijay Singha in significant roles.
The series is set to premiere on Prime Video exclusively on September 12.
