Mumbai, Sep 12 (NationPress) Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who stars in the newly launched streaming series ‘Do You Wanna Partner’, described her character as an impulsive and passion-driven hustler.
In a conversation with IANS during the promotional activities for the series, she revealed how much of her own personality she integrated into her role, given that the show’s setting is quite modern.
She expressed to IANS, “While the world may feel familiar, the characters are refreshingly contemporary. Their freedom and cultural traits reflect today’s society. If one were to perform in a period drama, it echoes that era. However, this character offers me a rich tapestry to portray due to her extreme impulsiveness and passion. Essentially, she is a hustler. Her best friend acts as a grounding influence in her chaotic life.”
She elaborated that her character's friend serves as a voice of reason, providing balance amid the protagonist’s whirlwind adventures.
“This friend ignites the spark that occasionally nudges the main character in a specific direction. Our work is deeply nuanced, and I was acutely aware that in crafting an entrepreneurial dramedy, the plot points could be quite outrageous. We aimed to avoid being perceived as a shallow show that merely scratches the surface of female friendships,” she added.
“I have strong bonds with my female friends, and I felt there was a lack of representation of this in media. Many scenes authentically depict how women support each other in friendship,” she continued.
‘Do You Wanna Partner’ is available for streaming on Prime Video.
