Did you know that Srikant Dwivedi, known for his portrayal of Lord Vishnu, initially had a career in the hospitality sector?

Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) Television actor Srikant Dwivedi, acclaimed for his role as Lord Vishnu in the mythological series 'Lakshmi Narayan', previously had a career in the hospitality industry.
Before gaining fame for his iconic portrayal, Dwivedi embarked on a drastically different professional journey. His transition from hospitality to acting began after he clinched the title of Mr. India in 2017.
Reflecting on his past, he stated, 'I was working in the hospitality sector in Delhi and had no intentions of venturing into the entertainment industry or pursuing acting. It all occurred unexpectedly. Winning Mr. India in 2017 introduced me to the modelling and entertainment world, which I found captivating. However, I aspired for something more significant. I was aware that modelling typically has a short career span, which prompted me to explore new opportunities and engage with theatre, particularly in Mandi House, Delhi. That’s when I realized I should also delve into acting.'
'I took the leap and relocated to Mumbai to pursue acting. My first step in Mumbai was joining a theatre group, where I trained under the guidance of Saurabh Sachdeva. This experience helped me grasp the intricacies of acting and the commitment it entails. I became passionate about the craft and began auditioning for roles. Despite facing numerous rejections, I persevered. Eventually, my debut in television was a cameo in 'Papa By Chance', marking the start of my journey in the TV industry.'
Discussing his decision to portray Lord Vishnu, Srikant revealed, 'This role holds profound personal significance for me. I grew up listening to devotional music, especially songs dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Melodies like 'Om Jai Jagdish Hare' and hymns about Lord Vishnu’s avatars were integral to my life.'
'These songs fostered a connection to the divine, drawing me closer to this spiritual dimension. I aimed to deeply understand this connection and to explore the essence of Lord Vishnu's character. In today's fast-paced world, it's challenging to take a moment to truly grasp Indian mythology, history, and the deities.'
Srikant Dwivedi is currently featured as a parallel lead in the series 'Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Taandav' and is also recognized for his role in 'Bhagya Lakshmi'.
