Draven shared that they are currently undergoing the transition process, emphasizing it was "the perfect time to show some love to myself," as reported by People magazine.
“For a long time, I tried to be someone, someone I truly wasn’t on the inside,” Draven expressed in the post. “Ignoring it worked for a while, but continuously facing the choice between happiness and complacency was a decision I couldn’t keep making.”
They elaborated, “In August of last year, I chose the path of happiness and authenticity. I came out as transgender and began hormone replacement therapy, and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
According to People, Draven mentioned the overwhelming support received from family and friends, highlighting the encouragement from their mother, Samantha Bennington.
“I love each and every one of you who have shown me nothing but love and respect and see me for who I truly am,” they stated. “With all the love and support I’ve received, I’ve gained the strength to embrace myself. This is why I’m choosing to no longer conceal my true identity. Love is love.”
Draven concluded the post with a warm note, “Happy Valentine’s Day.” They previously shared insights about touring with their father’s rock band in the Paramount+ series Family Legacy, reminiscing about quality family moments during the band’s off days.
“One of our favorite activities was going rock climbing. It would be me and my little brother, Tyler, and that was usually our thing. Occasionally, we’d go to a place called Hangar 18 to rock climb. It was one of our cherished pastimes,” Draven recalled.
