Drew Barrymore Discusses the Impact of Female Friendships on Overcoming Heartbreak

Los Angeles, Jan 9 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore feels thankful for her robust network of friends, sharing insights into how their support has made dealing with romantic heartbreaks considerably easier.
In a conversation with Julianne Moore about her enduring relationships with women throughout her life, Barrymore mentioned on her self-titled talk show: "I believe that female friendship has been the anchor of my life. Most of my friends, whom I've known for 30 to 40 years, are on the brink of turning 50. These individuals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember."
"I have complete trust in them. They are always honest with me, and they have witnessed my journey and where I am headed. Lacking a traditional family structure, I find everything I need through my female friendships," Barrymore elaborated.
"And they genuinely want the best for you," Moore added.
Barrymore responded, "They help you navigate heartbreaks with much more ease. Whenever I've faced a breakup, my first call is to my girlfriends. They truly make everything better."
Moore also shared her experience with her "Room Next Door" co-star Tilda Swinton, noting that while they share many similarities, they were not well acquainted before working together on the film, as reported by people.com.
"We are the same age, have children of similar ages, and our careers are relatively alike. We both have red hair and have crossed paths at film festivals and press events, yet didn’t know each other well," said the Oscar-winning actress.
However, during the filming and spending time together, Moore stated, "We developed a genuine bond and became friends."
In another revelation, Barrymore discussed how she relied on her longtime friend and Charlie's Angels co-star Lucy Liu during a tough breakup.
While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show last year, the Red One actress and co-star Kiernan Shipka shared personal dating stories, including an incident where Liu found Barrymore "hiding in my bushes" after a split.
