Drew Barrymore Shares Her Favorite Sleeping Position from Pregnancy

Los Angeles, Dec 31 (NationPress) Actress Drew Barrymore may have embraced motherhood more than ten years ago with the arrival of her two daughters, but her current preferred sleeping position is one she learned while expecting.
“I sleep with a body pillow as if I'm still pregnant,” shared the 49-year-old actress and talk show host with People magazine.
Understanding the significance of quality sleep, Barrymore partnered with Rest in November to become the bedding brand's official Sleep Wellness Advocate.
“As a mom, businesswoman, and someone whose mind is always racing, it can seem not only challenging but impossible,” she expressed. “I used to toss and turn all night or lie awake staring at the ceiling, struggling to drift off.”
Barrymore added, “Recently, I’ve noticed that I’ve become somewhat of a hot sleeper (thanks to hormones), which significantly impacts my sleep quality and whether I can stay asleep through the night. If I do wake up, I often find it difficult to fall back asleep.”
According to People, the mother of two, who shares daughters Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10, with ex-husband Will Kopelman, disclosed that sleeping in a cool environment has transformed her rest.
“I've always enjoyed sleeping in a cooler room, but utilizing cooling bedding has perfected my sleep space,” she stated. “It enables me to achieve deeper and more restorative sleep.”
The host of The Drew Barrymore Show mentioned that she has “never experienced better sleep” since she started using the brand's Evercool Cooling Comforter.
In fact, Olive and Frankie “began stealing my comforter and wouldn’t stop fighting over it, so I had to buy them their own sets,” she added.
After her daughters are asleep, Barrymore relaxes with a calming bedtime routine. “I always have a stack of books at my nightstand, so if I feel up to it, I might read a bit before turning off the lights. If not, I say goodnight to all the cats and Douglas (her dog), close my eyes, and I'm almost asleep by the time my head hits the pillow,” she explained.
Barrymore emphasized the necessity of prioritizing sleep just as much as nutrition or exercise.
“We can’t be our best selves without proper rest. Just ask any cranky baby or adult! Quality sleep is vital. It affects us mentally and physically, our well-being, and our overall health. It influences how we present ourselves to the world,” she concluded.
