Los Angeles, May 13 (NationPress) The talented Emma Roberts, known for her remarkable roles in Hollywood, is teaming up with comedian Matt Rife for the upcoming romantic comedy “Marriage Material”. The film's global sales are kicking off at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Directed by Trish Sie, recognized for her work on “Pitch Perfect 3”, “The Sleepover”, and “Players”, the screenplay is penned by Ben Agron and Brandon Feldman, as reported by Variety.
Capstone Global is overseeing the international sales. “Marriage Material” tells the story of a dating app founder whose deadbeat husband’s alimony payments threaten her financial stability. To avoid disaster, she must find him a new wife before her company goes public.
As per Variety, the film is produced by Capstone Studios and BuzzFeed Studios. Producers include Richard Alan Reid, Jason Moring, Michael Philip, and Dan Scheinkman from BuzzFeed Studios, along with Christian Mercuri from Capstone Studios, and David Sweeney and Peter Edwards from Sweeney Entertainment.
