Chennai, April 4 (NationPress) The much-anticipated spy action thriller 'Mr X', directed by Manu Anand and starring Arya, Gautham Karthik, and Manju Warrier, is set to release in theatres this April, as confirmed by the film's producers.
Director Manu Anand took to his X account to share the exciting news, stating, "...and finally we are coming! After what seemed like ages, 'Mr X' is arriving in cinemas globally this month! I extend my gratitude to everyone involved in the film and those who supported us. I hope you all enjoy our creation! #MrX."
In a previous interview with IANS, producer Lakshman Kumar revealed that the film is an action thriller that delves into the spy world.
Alongside Arya, Gautham Karthik, and Manju Warrier, the cast includes Sarathkumar, Anagha, Athulya, Raiza Wilson, and Kaali Venkat, among others.
Lakshman Kumar emphasized to IANS, "'Mr X' is inspired by several true events, specifically five actual threats to the nation that were successfully neutralized by intelligence agencies."
The film has been shot over more than 100 days in various locations across India, with some scenes filmed in Azerbaijan, as noted by the producer.
"We filmed extensively throughout the country, including in Rajasthan, Hosur, Chennai, Mysore, and Tuticorin. Although we considered locations in Uganda, we ultimately shot some sequences in Azerbaijan," he explained.
Directed by Manu Anand, who gained recognition for his successful film 'FIR', 'Mr X' features music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and cinematography by Arul Vincent.
In a social media post unveiling the film's first look poster, Manu Anand stated, "With all humility and gratitude, here is the first official poster of 'Mr X'. The game is on. #MrX - Teaser out TODAY."
The editing for the film is done by Prasanna G K. Stunt work is choreographed by Stunt Silva, and Indulal Kaveed is responsible for the art direction.
The film is produced by Vineet Jain and S Lakshman Kumar, with co-production by A Venkatesh.
