Chennai, Aug 10 (NationPress) The team behind director Althaf Salim's highly anticipated Malayalam romantic comedy, 'Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira', starring Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan, has just unveiled the film's trailer, much to the excitement of fans and cinema lovers alike.
Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who portrays the female lead, took to her social media platforms to share the trailer link, exclaiming, “OUR TRAILER IS HERE! Hop on! In cinemas for Onam, 29th Aug.”
Previously, during the film's first look poster launch, Kalyani had remarked, “Their love story was perfect... until the wedding.”
The trailer features Kalyani's character sharing a bizarre dream with Aby (played by Fahadh Faasil) about a chubby horse resembling white halwa. Aby embarks on a quest to find this peculiar horse. His friends suggest that Kalyani may be more than a little eccentric, but Aby, infatuated with her character, ignores their warnings. A twist unfolds as complications arise for the couple, with Aby engaging in mysterious surveillance. This is just a glimpse of what the delightful rom-com 'Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira' promises.
The film has sparked considerable interest, marking Althaf Salim's second project following his successful debut with 'Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela', which resonated well with audiences and critics.
'Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela' starred Nivin Pauly alongside Aishwarya Lekshmi, along with a talented ensemble cast including Shanthi Krishna, Siju Wilson, Ahaana Krishna, Lal, and Sharafudeen.
In a prior interview, Althaf revealed that around 70 percent of 'Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira' was filmed in Ernakulam, Kerala, with the remaining 30 percent shot in Chennai.
This light-hearted film commenced shooting in April 2024, with rumors circulating in December 2024 about a potential Vishu release. Ultimately, it is set to premiere on August 29 for the Onam festivities.
