Mumbai, Nov 17 (NationPress) Bollywood's versatile talent, Farhan Akhtar, faced significant challenges during his educational journey. On Monday, Farah Khan, the renowned director and choreographer, unveiled a fresh episode of her YouTube series.
In the episode, Farah visits Farhan's residence, sharing that they are first cousins, with their mothers, Menaka Irani and Honey Irani, being sisters.
Farah reminisced about the time when Farhan struggled academically, noting how he had difficulties securing a spot in a reputable college.
She recounted, “His grades were quite dismal. The principal stated, ‘I’m admitting you because of Javed Akhtar sahab, but honestly, you don’t qualify for this college’.”
Farhan humorously added, “And I completely validated her point.”
Farah continued, “We were all quite disheartened. Your father was very upset. While we were at Marine Drive, we thought Farhan must be feeling terrible, and then he casually asked, ‘Can I have Anand ka masala milk?’. Your dad got so frustrated! Didn’t you understand how that sounded, asking for masala milk?”
Farhan replied, “To be honest, I wasn’t really keen on college at all.”
In the meantime, Farhan is preparing for his upcoming film ‘120 Bahadur’, where he will portray Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC, a celebrated Indian war hero known for his remarkable dedication to the nation. During the Sino-Indian War, the 13th Battalion of the Kumaon Regiment, where the Major served, was stationed in the Chushul sector.
On the morning of November 18, 1962, the post faced an attack from the Chinese forces. The Indian troops fought valiantly until they were ultimately overrun. Throughout the conflict, Singh tirelessly moved between posts to reorganize defenses and uplift the spirits of his soldiers, all while exposed to enemy fire.
With ‘120 Bahadur’, Farhan Akhtar is set to deliver another compelling performance, stepping into the role of a national hero.
