Chennai, July 8 (NationPress) Director Ganesh K Babu, currently at the helm of the much-anticipated film 'Karathey Babu', recently praised actor Kaali Venkat, dubbing him a “gem of a performer”.
On the same day, Kaali Venkat, recognized as one of Tamil cinema's most talented character actors, marked his 15-year milestone in the Tamil film industry.
In a heartfelt post on his X timeline, Ganesh K Babu shared images from the celebration with the Karathey Babu team, stating, “15 Years of Raw Talent & Real Performances! Celebrating the powerhouse @kaaliactor -- an actor who brings soul to every frame he’s in. From intense drama to effortless humour, his journey is nothing short of inspiring. Proud to be directing this gem of a performer in #KaratheyBabu”.
This isn’t the first time Kaali Venkat has received accolades; director Sudha Kongara, known for her work on the Suriya-starrer 'Soorarai Pottru', has also commended his extraordinary skills, noting that his performance significantly elevated Suriya’s portrayal in the film.
In the meantime, Kaali Venkat is enjoying the success of his film Madras Matinee, which has garnered widespread acclaim. He is set to appear in a leading role in director Rajavel’s upcoming fantasy horror film ‘House Mates’, sharing the screen with actor Darshan.
This film is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 1 this year.
Produced by S Vijayaprakash and directed by Rajavel, Housemates is a unique blend of fantasy and horror-comedy. A source from the production team had earlier informed IANS that filming has concluded and post-production is progressing rapidly, with the first copy nearly finalized.
