Mumbai Feb 17 (NationPress) Actor Gourav Adarsh has acknowledged that his recent film Tu Yaa Main has experienced a slow start at the box office. However, he has also shown gratitude for the love and support received. Gourav praised his co-star Shanaya Kapoor, describing her performance as genuine and vulnerable, revealing that she astonished the team during filming.

Sharing captivating stills from Tu Yaa Main, Gourav reflected on his journey portraying Maruti and commented on the film's reception. He stated, “Tu Yaa Main arrived at a time when I felt lost and confused with everything evolving around me. However, after experiencing @abzeebandekar's remarkable narration at the colour yellow office, I knew I had to embody Maruti.”

He continued, “What resonated with me about him? Perhaps it was his quest to break free and establish an identity. There's something infectious about a character who embraces their roots without hesitation. Would I ever have the courage to approach someone while acknowledging my fears and revealing my true self? Probably not. I think that's what I aspired to be. Maruti afforded me the opportunity to be what I’ve always admired. I wanted to be his friend the moment I read about him.”

Gourav expressed his admiration for director Bejoy Nambiar, stating, “I have been a huge fan of Bejoy since day one. The films he creates, along with the high-stakes situations his characters encounter, are something I truly enjoy. Thank you, @bejoynambiar, for including me in such an extraordinary film and for believing in me as Maruti. @aanandlrai, I cannot express my gratitude enough for your unwavering support and calm demeanor as a producer.”

Commending his co-star Shanaya Kapoor, Gourav noted, “@shanayakapoor02 blew us away on set. I witnessed her fully surrendering to the character and situation. She was incredibly authentic and vulnerable. Thank you for making Avni so believable and for being a fantastic teammate both on and off set. I also had a great time working with @ansh; he is a phenomenal actor and an incredible person, and I look forward to his future endeavors.”

He further stated, “This film is genuinely a product of its crew’s dedication.
