Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) In an exciting move to introduce regional narratives to a wider audience, the Hindi dubbed version of the National Award-Winning Gujarati Film "Hellaro" is now accessible to viewers.
Reflecting on the film’s Hindi debut, actress Shraddha Dangar expressed, "Hellaro is more than a film—it embodies the unheard voices and untold stories that linger in the unnoticed corners of our society. Creating this world required building a rich emotional and physical landscape in the heart of the desert. Now, with its Hindi release on ShemarooMe, I’m incredibly touched that this narrative can touch a wider audience worldwide. I hope it ignites something in every viewer—questions, courage, and, most importantly, a profound understanding of what it truly means to be free."
For those who may not know, "Hellaro" stands as the first Gujarati drama to win the National Award for Best Feature Film. Additionally, 13 lead actresses from the film collectively received a Special Jury Award.
Set against the backdrop of 1970s Kutch, "Hellaro" tells the heart-wrenching tale of a group of women navigating life in a patriarchal village.
Their otherwise uneventful lives take a transformative turn when a stranger enters with a dhol, instilling them with the courage to rise.
Directed by Abhishek Shah, this critically acclaimed film boasts a remarkable cast including Shraddha, Kaushambi Bhatt, Niilam Paanchal, Brinda Trivedi, Tejal Panchasara, Shachi Joshi, Tarjanee Bhadla, Kishan Gadhavi, Maulik Nayak, Aarjav Trivedi, Rajan Thakar, and Jayesh, among others.
Produced by Ashish Patel, Nirav Patel, Aayush Patel, Prateek Gupta, Mit Jani, and Abhishek Shah under the banners of Saarthi Productions and Harfanmaula Films, the film premiered in theaters on November 8, 2019.
"Hellaro" is now available in both Hindi and Gujarati on ShemarooMe.
