Mumbai, Nov 10 (NationPress) Acclaimed actress Hema Malini has provided an update regarding her husband, Dharmendra. She took to her Instagram account to share a nostalgic photograph of the actor.

In her heartfelt caption, she expressed her appreciation for everyone concerned with the actor’s health.

She stated, “I am grateful to all for your concern about Dharam ji, who is currently in the hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all by his side. I kindly ask you all to pray for his well-being and a swift recovery.”

Previously, the veteran actor’s sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, visited him at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on Monday. Sunny arrived with his son while attempting to shield his face from media cameras, while Bobby was accompanied by his wife. Bollywood icon Salman Khan also paid a visit, appearing in his 'Galwan' look.

Reports suggest that the actor, who was reportedly placed on a ventilator, is experiencing breathing difficulties. Just a week ago, Hema Malini assured the media during a previous hospital visit that he was doing fine. The actor resides at his Khandala farmhouse with his first wife, Prakash Kaur. He has moved to this location due to the increasing pollution levels in Mumbai.

Dharmendra is regarded as one of Bollywood’s most cherished and enduring stars. Born in 1935 in Punjab, he began his career in the early 1960s after being discovered through a talent hunt competition. In the late 1950s, Filmfare magazine partnered with Bimal Roy Productions to organize a national talent contest to discover new faces for Hindi cinema. Dharmendra entered and won in 1958, recognized for his striking appearance and innate charm. This achievement paved the way for his entry into the film industry, where he would later be joined by Rajesh Khanna, another iconic superstar.

Dharmendra quickly gained popularity for his charming looks, emotional depth, and effortless screen presence. His versatility enabled him to shine in romance, action, and comedy.
