Mumbai, June 22 (NationPress) It is widely recognized that Salman Khan has been dealing with security threats since 2018, which has significantly curtailed his ability to engage in outdoor activities beyond just filming and promotional events.
In a recent appearance on season three of "The Great Indian Kapil Show", Salman, who was the first guest this season, opened up about his life.
When host Kapil Sharma inquired about the challenges of being Salman, the 'Tiger Zinda Hain' star remarked, "If you see this as a downside, then I don't get to step out much. However, if you desire that freedom, you must relinquish everything you have. Go ahead, go out and explore as you wish."
Despite the constraints, Salman expressed that he actually prefers his lifestyle, stating, "I genuinely enjoy this. I rarely go out. My routine involves shuttling between shoots and home. One airport to another, then to a hotel, back to the shoot, then another airport, and finally home again. It's been this way for the past thirty to thirty-five years."
To recap, the situation began when gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issued a death threat against Salman during a court case related to the 1998 Blackbuck poaching incident. This was followed by numerous threats aimed at the 'Kick' actor over the years.
In a more recent event, in April 2024, two shooters allegedly linked to the Bishnoi gang opened fire outside Salman's residence in Bandra.
Subsequently, law enforcement managed to apprehend the suspects, leading to a significant increase in the actor's security measures, including the installation of bulletproof glass on his balcony and enhanced CCTV surveillance around his home.
