Did Hina Khan Just Thank Salman Khan for Supporting Ashnoor Kaur?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Nov 3 (NationPress) Former 'Bigg Boss 11' contestant Hina Khan expressed her gratitude to 'Bigg Boss 19' host Salman Khan for supporting contestant Ashnoor Kaur during the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, following Ashnoor's experience of body shaming inside the house.
Highlighting the severe body-shaming the young woman endured, the 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress shared a heartfelt message on social media stating, "I had been waiting for this WKV, which is why I refrained from expressing my anger towards the hurtful and insensitive remarks made about Ashnoor. Knowing you for so many years, I anticipated that justice would be served this week by @beingsalmankhan. Thank you, Salman, for addressing this sensitive topic with such grace and empathy. You truly handled it well (sic)."
Hina commended Ashnoor for her dignified response to the situation. "It’s disheartening to see a 21-year-old girl being repeatedly criticized for her height, weight, and looks on national television by others who have experienced life far more than she has. #SHAME. I am immensely proud of @ashnoorkaur for navigating this ordeal with poise, intelligence, clarity, and maturity. Unlike many, she chose not to escalate the situation into drama, nor did she seek cheap attention; her behavior reflects her character, values, and the upbringing from her parents," she added.
Hina also emphasized how women often face various health challenges due to genetics, impacting their appearance.
"Our looks, health, and overall appearance are not solely determined by our life choices; oftentimes, they are influenced by our genes. I can relate to this. It’s crucial to recognize that women especially endure numerous health issues due to hormonal imbalances, which can manifest in mood swings, fatigue, insomnia, irregular menstruation, weight fluctuations, dry skin, chronic illnesses like diabetes, thyroid disorders, infertility, and obesity. Genetics is something we cannot change, and we must bear the consequences. I understand the struggles of battling genetic predispositions; it can be life-altering and profoundly disheartening. Ask me how it feels when it’s in the GENES," she elaborated.
"You look incredibly beautiful, my girl (red heart emoji)," Hina concluded.
