On January 29, filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed Ibrahim's debut in the film industry.

Karan took to Instagram to share candid photos of Ibrahim along with a heartfelt message, reminiscing about his first encounter with Ibrahim’s mother, veteran actress Amrita Singh, and Saif.

Karan recounted: “I met Amrita, or Dingy as her loved ones call her, when I was just 12 years old. She starred in a film for @dharmamovies with my father called Duniya, and I vividly remember her grace, energy, and command over the camera.

“What stands out the most is the warm Chinese dinner we had after our first meeting, followed by a James Bond movie! From the moment we met, she treated me like family, showcasing the power of her grace...which continues to live on through her and her children!

He continued, “With Saif, I first met him in Anand Mahendru’s office. Young, suave, charming, and effortless... just like the first time I met Ibrahim. A strong friendship that has continued from our generation to thankfully our kids!”

The filmmaker revealed that he has known Ibrahim’s family for 40 years.

“I have worked with them in various capacities - Duniya with Amrita, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kurbaan with Saif, and of course, Simmba with Sara, with many more projects to come! I recognize this family for the warmth they possess.”

Karan emphatically stated that films are deep within their blood, genes, and passion.

“We pave the way for a new wave of talent, one that I eagerly anticipate the world to witness. So, stay tuned as @iakpataudi makes his way into your hearts and soon… onto the screens!” Karan concluded his post about the grandson of legendary superstar Sharmila Tagore.
