Mumbai, June 12 (NationPress) Bollywood star Ishaan Khatter recently took a nostalgic journey as he unveiled some behind-the-scenes snapshots from the filming of his 2022 short film “Fursat”, which was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj in the scenic state of Rajasthan.
Ishaan shared an array of pictures and clips on Instagram. The first image captures him glancing at the camera while strolling. The second showcases the actor sporting a fake beard and a quirky prop on his arm.
A humorous video features Ishaan standing in the desert, playfully imitating an exaggerated Arabic accent while delivering a mock-serious commentary for the person filming him. Another clip shows him attempting to make a remarkable shot by tossing a pistachio shell towards a dustbin located several floors below.
In his caption, Ishaan quipped: “Throwback to the sets of #fursat in 2022 where clearly the Rajasthan heat had gotten to my brain.”
“Fursat” is a musical romance short film that also features Wamiqa Gabbi and Salman Yusuff Khan.
The plot centers around a man who discovers an ancient artifact that propels him into the future, exploring how this journey affects his present.
The director was inspired to create a film shot entirely on smartphones after noticing numerous short films made with mobile devices during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cinematography was executed on an iPhone 14 Pro by Swapnil S. Sonawane.
In addition to this, Ishaan's film “Homebound” has been selected for the prestigious Uncertain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, it also stars Janhvi Kapoor.
The narrative follows two childhood friends from a small village in North India who aspire to become police officers, believing that the job will earn them the respect they have always lacked. However, their pursuit of this dream brings pressure and challenges that threaten their friendship.
