Mumbai, Nov 7 (NationPress) The dynamic father-son pair of Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezaan are receiving significant admiration for their captivating dance-off featured in the "3 Shaukk" song from the upcoming sequel "De De Pyaar De 2".
Taking their performance to unprecedented heights, Jaaved and Meezaan even reunited with the original Boogie Woogie crew, invoking a delightful wave of nostalgia among fans.
On Friday, Meezaan shared a behind-the-scenes video from their trending dance-off on his social media.
Reflecting on the experience, Meezaan admitted to feeling quite anxious.
He expressed, “I was really scared because it was like dancing with India’s greatest dancer, so naturally, everyone on set was supporting him; they were witnessing an icon perform after years.”
“I genuinely wanted to relish the moment, and I did. Ultimately, I aimed to match his level and give my best effort. The one person supporting me was my mother on the phone, encouraging me that while everyone was cheering for my father, I needed to shine as well, which is precisely what I endeavored to do,” the 'Maalal' star elaborated.
Jaaved also shared, “I had previously recorded a promotional dance video with Meezaan for his debut film, but this was our first dance face-off on-screen! In the film, we are on opposing teams; he’s aligned with the girl’s side, while I’m with Ajay.”
Describing how he had to adapt to keep pace with the younger generation, he mentioned, “The dance style is quite modern, definitely outside my comfort zone. However, since it was choreographed by Ganesh, a close friend, and observing how effectively he coached Meezaan, I urged myself to keep up with today’s youthful dance styles.”
Jaaved concluded by stating that witnessing Meezaan perform with such ease made him feel like a proud father, “Even until the final shot, I had my moments of doubt regarding my performance. But watching Meezaan dance so confidently filled me with pride, and knowing how much the audience is enjoying our dance-off makes it even more special.”
