Mumbai, Nov 15 (NationPress) Renowned actor Jaaved Jaaferi has described his character in the forthcoming film “Mayasabha” as the most challenging role he has encountered throughout his impressive four-decade career.
The actor disclosed that this part involves significant physical and emotional hurdles. He referred to it as the finest script he has ever come across, noting that this project has stretched his capabilities further than any other role he has taken on in the last 40 years. On his Instagram, the Total Dhamaal star unveiled the first look poster of the film, stating, “This is the best script I've read and the most powerful, both physically and emotionally demanding role I've portrayed in my 40-year journey. It has been a thrilling adventure collaborating with @rahianilbarve. I can't wait for audiences to experience it.”
The poster showcases Jaaved Jaaferi with long, silver-streaked hair and a striking golden mask. On November 14, the team behind “Mayasabha” released a motion poster with the tagline, “A decade ago, we unleashed a madness-an experiment too strange, unspeakable even for those who dare to fathom the abyss. The curse is finally broken. The enigmatic realm of Parmeshwar Khanna will finally reveal itself. Enjoy your gold hunt.”
Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, “Mayasabha” features Jaaved Jaafri in the leading role. Rahi reportedly initiated the project in 2018 following Tumbbad, completed it by 2020, but it has remained unreleased since then.
In the meantime, Jaaved recently appeared in the romantic comedy “De De Pyaar De 2”, which also included his son Meezaan Jafri, Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film debuted in theaters on November 14.
Meezaan shared his unique experience of dancing with his father, Jaaved, in the song “3 Shaukk.” Describing it as a “full-circle moment,” the young actor reflected how surreal it was to perform alongside his dad. Meezaan expressed to IANS, “There was something utterly different about sharing the dance floor with Dad. We’ve always danced together, but doing it in front of the camera for the film was a full circle moment for me. It’s something I would never turn down!”
