Mumbai, Feb 4 (NationPress) Actor Jacob Elordi, who portrays Heathcliff opposite Margot Robbie's Cathy in “Wuthering Heights”, shared his admiration for the actress, describing her as a “pure source of energy” and expressing his enthusiasm for collaborating with her.

Reflecting on his experience working with Robbie in her roles as both co-star and producer, Elordi remarked: “At any moment, Margot is managing no fewer than 50 things and always with a smile.”

“Watching what she can achieve in a single day makes it impossible to complain about anything. She’s an inspiration and a pure source of energy, and I cherish the opportunity to work with her,” he added.

When discussing his portrayal of Heathcliff, he commented: “Heathcliff is the quintessential outcast, faced with abuse and rejection from his father and society. He is constantly prepared for challenges, which gives his physicality a protective posture.”

“The set's design mirrored his harsh reality—cold, isolating, and oppressive. Cathy represents his sole source of light and warmth, yet he is still reminded that he does not belong. After returning to Wuthering Heights, he stands tall, embodying autonomy, dressed to complement his new status, and possessing wealth that grants him equality with others. It was a compelling character arc to embody,” Elordi concluded.

Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and MRC, with direction by Emerald Fennell, “Wuthering Heights” is set to release in cinemas and IMAX across India on February 13.

This bold and innovative adaptation of one of literature's greatest love tales features Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose intense and forbidden connection evolves from romantic to intoxicating in a gripping saga of desire, love, and madness.

The film also includes performances by Oscar nominee Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, BAFTA winner Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell.
