New Delhi, Feb 11 (NationPress) Jacqueliene Fernandez defines fashion as a blend of creativity and uniqueness. The stunning Sri Lankan actress and Bollywood star shared her aspiration to portray the iconic French fashion designer Coco Chanel on screen in the future.
In an interview with IANS, she remarked, “To me, fashion signifies creativity and uniqueness. It's an opportunity to express your individuality, showcasing the one and only version of yourself.”
The actress, who shone as a muse for designer Kanika Goyal at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in Chandigarh, emphasized that fashion is a celebration of “who you are each day. It’s truly a beautiful experience.”
When asked about portraying a fashion icon on screen, her response was immediate: “Definitely Coco Chanel.” Recently, she appeared on screen in “Fateh” alongside Sonu Sood.
Having made her debut in 2009 with Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy drama “Aladin,” she confessed to having varied moods regarding her fashion choices, oscillating between dressing up and casual wear.
“I have moods; most days, I prefer being casual. About 90 percent of the time, my wardrobe tends to be quite basic, much to the dismay of my stylists who often exclaim, ‘Jackie, your wardrobe is quite underwhelming.’”
Nevertheless, she indulges in dressing up on special occasions.
“There are days when I just feel the urge to dress up, wear a stunning dress, and have a good time, especially when it comes to red carpets and stage appearances. Those are my cherished moments,” she added.
“But I maintain that 90 percent of the time, I’m quite casual.”
Over the years, Jacqueliene’s fashion sense has transformed.
“There was a time I experimented extensively with my personal style. Now, I’ve grown comfortable in a fashion that resonates with me. It’s basic, comfortable, and authentically me. I’m at peace with that. Earlier, it was all about experimentation. Now, I genuinely understand my style,” the actress shared.
