Los Angeles, Feb 25 (NationPress) Actress Jamie Lee Curtis reflects on her cherished memories of a "small family" shared with Robert Carradine and his daughter, Ever.

The acclaimed star, now 67, fondly remembers her brief romance with the late actor, who tragically passed away at 71. She expressed her heartfelt tribute to her "first crush" and reminisced about the meaningful connections she had with him and his daughter, Ever, from his former relationship with Susan Snyder, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.

On Instagram, she wrote, "I awoke to the news of Robert Carradine's passing. My first encounter with him was on live television during the Dinah Shore show, alongside other second-generation actors, what we now refer to as Nepo babies. Bobby rearranged our seating so he could sit next to me and kissed me live on air—a very public meet-cute.”

She further shared, “Ever, his three-year-old daughter who is now an accomplished actress, had endured a severe burn from hot water and was hospitalized. I met her for the first time while she was wrapped in gauze, radiating the biggest smile with the most stunning eyes. We formed a little family in a humble dirt-floored home in Laurel Canyon, marking my first taste of domestic life, motherhood, and partnership.”

As noted by ‘Female First UK’, Jamie fondly recalled moments spent with Ever during her childhood and mentioned her close friendship with Carradine's partner, Melanie Griffith.

She reminisced, "I recall walking with Ever to the local Canyon market and taking our laundry to the laundromat beneath us, folding her little clothes for the very first time. The simplicity and splendor of Laurel Canyon in the late 70s was unforgettable. Bobby had starred in a film with Melanie Griffith, and they were in love. Later, Melanie and I became colleagues and best friends, and I still cherish that bond. She was the one who informed me of his passing.”

The iconic actress also reflected on the moment she recognized Carradine as her “first crush” from the movies.

“Bobby was a racecar driver who drove aggressively in a Corvette on Mulholland. It’s a miracle we escaped unscathed. I distinctly remember sunlight illuminating his face; I turned to him and asked, 'Wait, weren’t you in the film The Cowboys? Were you Slim?'. I didn’t realize he was my first cinematic crush at that moment. He also starred alongside my husband, Christopher Guest, in The Long Riders, portraying historical brothers alongside various sets of siblings.”
