Los Angeles, Oct 22 (NationPress) Hollywood actor Jesse Plemons believes he truly “got lucky” when he encountered his wife and former co-star Kirsten Dunst.
The star recently reminisced about how their chemistry ignited on the set of ‘Fargo’, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.
During an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, the 37-year-old actor shared insights into his relationship with the 43-year-old actress, just before the premiere of his latest film Bugonia.
According to ‘Female First UK’, Jesse mentioned that he and Kirsten formed a strong bond while filming the second season of the FX drama in 2015, where they portrayed the married couple Peggy and Ed Blumquist.
He remarked, “Immediately we just hit it off in a creative sense and felt like we could trust each other. I knew that we were gonna be playing husband and wife and spending a lot of time together. And, you know, you never know if it’s something you’re going to have to kind of work for. And then sometimes you get lucky.”
The couple began dating soon after the series concluded and tied the knot in July 2022. Both actors earned Critics Choice and Emmy nominations for their roles in ‘Fargo’, which was created by Noah Hawley and is based on the 1996 Coen brothers’ film of the same name. The season also featured Jean Smart, Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Bokeem Woodbine, and Cristin Milioti.
Reflecting on his initial impressions of Kirsten, Jesse expressed, “We’d both been acting since we were kids, but she had a lot of success early on. And I was just amazed at how human and unguarded she was and giving. So it was just really easy and we had so much fun with those two parts.”
He added that they “got together like a year and a half after that, and got a couple kids now”. Jesse and Kirsten are proud parents to two sons, Ennis, aged seven, and James, aged four. During the interview, Andy also inquired about Jesse's family life, as well as his 'Bugonia' co-star Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos.
Jesse noted that his sons are already showing early signs of creativity.
