Mumbai, Sep 23 (NationPress) Actor and producer Jitesh Thakur, who is looking forward to the launch of his latest film ‘Tara And Akash: Love Beyond Realms’, has revealed the inspiration behind casting the esteemed actress Deepti Naval.
In a conversation with IANS prior to the film's premiere in Vile Parle, Mumbai, Jitesh explained that her role embodies a divine mother, making her the first choice for the filmmakers.
He remarked to IANS, “She embodies a guiding force; the character I’m referring to is truly that. When the initial idea emerged, I envisioned her as a divine mother. Despite her character’s name being Devi, which means goddess, she resides in Switzerland. This contrast adds depth, yet her essence represents strength, courage, and power, which compelled us to cast her.”
Previously, Deepti Naval discussed the evolution of Hindi cinema, reflecting on the advancements she has observed over the years.
She mentioned to IANS, “Today’s films exhibit a remarkable level of visual sophistication. This is something I truly appreciate. Our cinema now meets international standards, both technically and visually. There’s a wealth of talent today, from technicians to actors. Everyone is well-trained and dedicated to their craft. Unlike my time, you can’t just enter the film industry without preparation.”
Following its recognition at Film Bazaar and IFFI Goa 2023, where it secured a prestigious co-production agreement with NFDC, along with a market screening at TIFF 2024, ‘Tara & Akash: Love Beyond Realms’ is scheduled for theatrical release on September 26, 2025.
